I know the shop’s bugged right now, but I didn’t know that until I joined this subreddit since the idea of doing the shop hasn’t appealed to me. Thankfully that only happened twice in 5 minutes and hasn’t happened since. And since there’s no quick discard (like in stardew valley, where you could drag the item to outside your inventory screen and it would throw it back on the ground), I became stuck in the menu and had to restart my game because it wouldn’t let me exit the inventory screen. The only major bug/glitch I’ve run into so far is one where I ended up holding too many items in my inventory, so when trying to move stuff around to plant, I’d select the item and try to move it to my tool belt and the original spot would vanish. I picked it up a few days ago because I wanted something new to play on my switch, and figured since it was on sale, might as well try it. The player shop bug should be fixed in the next patch they submit and hopefully it won’t take too long to be released. So that’s a patch out pretty quickly after launch, which makes me feel hopeful. Clearly the devs are on the ball with submitting updates, since they’ve gotten one out less than a week after the game was released. There’s already a new patch out right for the switch version, it doesn’t include a fix for the player shop bug, but has some other small bug fixes. Nintendo has a pretty extensive approval process (it seems lol) for game updates, unlike steam where devs can just publish updates constantly and quickly (great for beta testing, and getting your community to help test new patches which is super helpful for smaller developers).

That’s true for all consoles though, since devs have to submit their updates and get approved.

I play a lot of indie games on the switch and sometimes getting bugs fixed can take a little while.
